MARK SIMMONS: Boxing Coach Level 2
TRAIN WITH AN OLYMPIAN! Mark Simmons is a former celebrated Canadian Heavyweight boxer who represented Canada at the 2000 Summer Olympic games in Sydney, Australia. He was also a five-time Canadian National Champion, a Commonwealth Gold medalist and Pan Am Games Silver medalist, recording 201 wins in 231 recorded bouts. Mark first began training at the Toronto Newsboys boxing club at the age of six and eventually became a member of the Canadian National Boxing Team from 1993 to 2000. His impressive boxing career and presence has led to several feature film appearances including the 2005 movie Cinderella Man. In 2011, Simmons was hired by the Ontario Athletic Commission and has worked as a professional boxing referee and MMA equipment official. Mark studied kinesiology and health sciences at York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000.
In 2012 Mark became Captain of the Red Team for Agency Wars III and stayed on board for IV as well!
He is now a proud member of the CBA team as one of our coaches and is available for personal boxing training.
